विधि विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला दिल्ली एक बहु-विषयक वैज्ञानिक संगठन है जिसमें आईएसओ/आईईसी 17025: 2017 के अनुसार उच्च संगठित, प्रशिक्षित पेशेवर और अच्छी तरह से सुसज्जित परीक्षा सुविधाएं शामिल हैं। प्रयोगशाला जांचकर्ताओं और कानून प्रशासन के बिरादरी सदस्यों के लिए नई जानकारी का समन्वय, विकास और प्रसार करती है। अपराध के पारंपरिक और नए पैटर्न को हल करने के लिए नवीन वैज्ञानिक तकनीकों के माध्यम से एजेंसी। इसके अलावा, प्रयोगशाला से अपराध स्थलों की वैज्ञानिक जांच में सहायता करने, प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने और ज्ञान साझा करने और अपराध के पुनर्निर्माण में सहायता करने का अनुरोध किया जाता है। प्रयोगशाला मूल्यवान साक्ष्यों के लिए फोरेंसिक रिपोर्ट तैयार करती है जो अपराधियों के सफल अभियोजन और सजा के साथ-साथ निर्दोष लोगों को दोषमुक्त करने में योगदान देती है। नवीनतम तकनीकी और ज्ञान सुविधाओं के साथ-साथ अंतरिक्ष दृष्टिकोण के साथ, प्रयोगशाला को काम की गुणवत्ता के बराबर सुविधा के साथ विश्व स्तर पर स्वीकार किए जाने की उम्मीद की जा सकती है जिसके लिए प्रयोगशाला जानी जाती है।
इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं आईटी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा प्रयोगशाला को 17.04.2018 को सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी अधिनियम, 2000 की धारा 79ए के तहत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक साक्ष्य के परीक्षक के रूप में भी अधिसूचित किया गया है ।
